Christmas

Christmas was on Sunday and we had 9am church! The kids got to open a couple presents before church.  Earnest tradition picture here! You're not allowed to walk out to see what Santa brought until everyone is up, (including Dad, whom always took forever!) and then you had to line up by age for a picture. My parents have a picture like this of us for every single year.

Brooke and Joe's kids all lined up!

After Church the Pj's went back on!

All 5 of the boys
Taylor did such a great job and got be a Leopard snuggie! Among other great things!

We ended the day at my Aunt and Uncle's house for dinner.  Brooke busted out cupcakes she makes at her cupcake shoppe in CA.

They were delicious!
Thanks to everyone we shared the Holiday's with, we had such a good time!

Christmas Eve

We had Christmas Eve dinner at my brother, Chris' house.  We had an awesome pasta bar to eat and yummy breads.
Brooke and Mom getting a pasta sauce right.
These boy's behaving so well until they got down and dirty!
And the wrestling began!

then we tried to calm then down... tried...
and told them they had a present to open.

What else can you get on Christmas Eve other then new PJ's?
Then we came home and Taylor read them all the Night Before Christmas
And cookies were left for santa
Harry wrote a letter to santa, he even included Taylor in his note.

All was calm, until the next morning!

Swimming and Skating in OR

We spent Christmas in Madras, with my parents.  My sister, Brooke, and her family from California came too! One of Madras' fun things to do, is go the aquatic center.  It's really nice for the kids, because it's indoors. And there's a waterside, rope swing, and lazy river.

John's the only one I could capture
My brother Chris live in Redmond...it's about a 30 minute drive from Madras. We were up there a lot so cousins could play together. One day they went to the outdoor ice skating rink downtown.  The kids had a lot of fun! Taylor was pretty excited to go himself and showed off some mad skating skills. For realz.

The best thing about Harry is he is always excited about everything! Especially ice skating!

Helping out John, in his awesome darth vader sweatshirt.
Brooke skated, but I opted to stay off the ice this year...

Work Christmas Party

Last weekend we went to the Rocket Media employee Christmas party.  First we went to "White Christmas" at ASU Gammage. Pretty sure I was mesmerized the entire time, not so sure Taylor was feeling the same way.

Then we went on to this awesome restaurant called Rustler's Rooste. For all you locals, you better go!  It is a way fun cowboy restaurant.  Before we even walked in we found a giant bull with the word "dinner" around its neck! I knew this would be my kind of place!  The restaurant is 2 stories.  To get to the bottom story there is a giant slide, which Taylor took, I opted out for obvious reasons.  Our appetizers were fried rattle snake, it actually was pretty good (I guess you can fry anything and it will taste good.) Dinner followed with giant steaks, sweet potatoes, salad basically anything that cowboys would love! We had a great time.

Taylor's Making Dreams Come True

Every year at Taylor's work they have giving trees with lots of things you can buy needy people for Christmas. Taylor picked one that said a Barbie House. We went and looked at them and saw a really expensive one that we wished we could get her. So Taylor got some of his coworkers to help donate so he could get the 3 story 3' tall Barbie Dream House. That little girl is gonna be so excited! Taylor might have been more excited to get it for her though.
I hope we have a daughter one day so Taylor can spoil her too:)

Our Christmas

We're excited for Christmas here! We're going to Oregon on Wednesday morning and we're so excited!

The Runway

Last weekend I was asked to participate in Old Navy's Fashion Show. Finally my big break! It was pretty funny to be honest. I was the maternity model and got to sport some awesome new Old Navy Fall/Winter looks. I felt pretty silly, but it was fun.

1 Year

Today is Taylor and my 1 year anniversary. Can't believe how time flies! This is been the best year for us and we've been so blessed to have each other. Each day we're married really does get better.

Last night we went and got ourselves pampered with a couples massage followed up by a fancy smanchy dinner at Capital Grille.  We had the best steaks and it was such a great time. They even took a picture and framed it for us, but Taylor forbad me from showing it to anyone. lol.

Next year our anniversary will probably be a little different, but we couldn't be more excited!

Halloween

Taylor helped me make this awesome and easy Halloween costume.  Taylor dressed as an awesome 80's rocker, but some how avoided getting his picture taken. Not sure how that happened.  We DJ'd the ward Halloween party on Friday and hung out with family most of the weekend attending other parties. It was a fun weekend!

Fair Time

I asked Taylor several months ago if we could go to the Arizona State Fair in October. He asked why I wanted to go, as if I were crazy.  I said, I love fairs! I want to see the pigs and eat funnel cakes. And then he said, oh I've never had a funnel cake.  This is when I realized I really did marry a city boy! Never had a funnel cake? So once we arrived it was my mission to find him one.

First we ate some delicious fair food, the navajo taco.....

Then we headed over to watch the motocross show. I've never seen one before, and it scared me every time they did their flips and jumps. So cool.

We watched the hypnotist show, which was our favorite. And we ran into this, which Taylor was so excited about....

Finally I found him a funnel cake, I think I was more excited for him to eat it then he was to eat it.
But he loved it! (and so did I)

Taylor admitted that he had a great time and fairs were much more fun than he thought! I converted him:)
